BIOGRAPHY

BIOGRAPHY: David Noble (London 1952) worked as a graphic designer throughout the 1970/80s. He decided in 1990 to study photography full time on the BA(Hons) Photography programme at the University of Derby. He graduated in 1993 with a first-class honours degree. Teaching followed shortly afterwards at various Midlands colleges. In 1997 he joined Staffordshire University on the BA(Hons) Photography programme, becoming the course leader in 2003. He retired from that position in 2018. His expertise is in developing a critical and reflective approach to personal photographic work.

INTERESTS: Surrealism, Abstract Expressionism, Electronic, Jazz & Classical music, 20th century Scandinavian glass, Post War German Fat Lava ceramics, philosophy and cookery.
